Can anyone clarify the difference between step ups for height vs step ups for progressive overload and which should be prioritized for increase in athleticism

Haven it’s one smooth scale:

How much weight?

How much height?

There’s no wrong answer!

That being said, I think somewhere in the middle will be most effective. Moderate to high reps. Master athletic amount of height (9-12 inches?). Then load. That’s my guess for best results.

You could go super low and super heavy, but I don’t know if that’s actually going to give best results. And you could try to max out 1rm height, but I also don’t know if that will give best results.
