Hey guys could really use some assistance.
I have a youth athlete that injured his back during Basketball. Went up for a lay-up and got bumped.
Tweaked his back being bumped during a layup (was adjusting in air).
There is bruising around the spine (as pictured). He has been standing, sitting, deep deep inhalations.
So far I’ve suggested to rest (he had a ball tournament he was trying to play in this weekend), cold showers, and any (if any) pain free movements.
He hasn’t gone into the clinic, however, I did advise him to do so.
@morgengrady I’ve seen hip flexor and piriformis stretching get someone with a back tweak back in action quick.
